Quick Start

🔍 Need to check a member's status? Follow these 3 steps for instant information.

  1. Search for member → 2. Open Membership tab → 3. View status and payment details

What you'll accomplish: Get complete membership information for any member in under 1 minute, including status, dues payments, and membership level details.

🚀 Quickstart

  1. Search for the member using the global search bar
  2. Open their account and click the Membership tab
  3. View membership status, payment progress, and membership level

⚠️ Before You Start

📋 Prerequisites Checklist
  • You have access to view member accounts
  • Membership tab is visible on account records
  • You have permissions to view membership fields
  • Member account exists in the system

📘 Detailed Instructions

Step 1: Find the Member Account

  1. Click the Global Search bar at the top of any Salesforce page
  2. Type the member's name, account name, or email address
  3. Select the correct account from the search results
  4. Click to open the account record

Step 2: Access Membership Information

  1. Navigate to the Membership tab on the account
  2. Confirm you're viewing the Details tab (should be active by default)

Step 3: Review Key Membership Data

Primary Status Indicators:

  • Active - Member in good standing with current dues
  • Pending - New member or renewal in progress
  • ⚠️ Inactive - Membership lapsed or suspended
  • 💰 Payment Due - Outstanding balance on account

✅ How to Know It Worked

You should see:

  • ✅ Member's current Membership Status clearly displayed
  • Remaining Percent showing dues payment progress
  • Membership Level and dates visible
  • ✅ Recent payment history (if any payments made)

What the information tells you:

  • 100% Remaining = Dues fully paid for current period
  • 50% Remaining = Half of dues still owed
  • 0% Remaining = No outstanding dues balance

🆘 Troubleshooting

❌ Cannot Find Membership Tab

Problem: Membership tab not visible on account record

Solutions:

  • ✅ Verify you're on an Account record (not Contact)
  • ✅ Check that Membership tab is added to page layout
  • ✅ Confirm your profile has access to membership features
  • ✅ Ask admin to verify app and layout configuration
❌ Missing Membership Fields

Problem: Cannot see membership status or percentage fields

Contact your System Administrator to verify:

  • Field-level security is set correctly for your profile
  • Fields are added to the page layout
  • Page layout is assigned to the correct app
  • Profile has correct page layout assignment
❌ Membership Data Appears Incorrect

Problem: Status or percentages don't match expectations

Solutions:

  • Refresh the page to get latest data
  • ✅ Check recent payment history for updates
  • ✅ Verify fiscal year settings and membership periods
  • ✅ Contact admin if automation rules may need adjustment
