📋 Prerequisites Checklist
  • Access to Reports tab in Salesforce
  • Permission to view financial data and invoices
  • Understanding of your organization's GAU structure
  • Knowledge of which reports you need to generate

📘 Detailed Instructions

Method 1: 🌐 Global A/R Reports

Best for: Organization-wide financial overview and executive reporting

  1. Open Reports - Search for "Reports" in the App Launcher
  2. Navigate to the Finance folder (or your organization's custom folder)
  3. Select the appropriate report type
  4. Configure filters:
    • Date range (current fiscal year, last 30 days, etc.)
    • Specific GAUs or categories
    • Customer accounts or membership levels
  5. Click Run to generate the report
  6. Export data to CSV or Excel if needed for external analysis

Method 2: 📋 GAU-Specific Reports

Best for: Category-specific financial analysis and department budgeting

  1. Navigate to General Accounting Units via App Launcher
  2. Select the GAU you want to analyze
  3. Open the GAU record to view its detail page
  4. Access the Related tab and locate:
GAU Report Options
  • 📄 Invoicing Summary - All invoices generated for this GAU
  • 💰 Payment Summary - All payments and adjustments for this GAU
  • 📈 Financial Dashboard - Visual charts and metrics for this category
  1. Click the appropriate summary link
  2. Review filtered data specific to that GAU
  3. Export or subscribe to regular updates

Method 3: 👤 Account-Level Reports

Best for: Individual member financial details and customer service

  1. Navigate to the Accounts tab
  2. Search for and open the desired member account
  3. Switch to the Related tab
  4. Review financial data in these sections:
💼 Account Financial Information

Invoices Section:

  • Current invoice status and balances
  • Due dates and aging information
  • Payment history per invoice

Payments Section:

  • All payments and adjustment records
  • Payment methods and dates
  • Allocation details across invoices

Account Summary:

  • Total outstanding balance
  • Payment plan status
  • Credit/debit history
  1. Click individual Invoice or Payment records for detailed views
  2. Use account-level Reports button (if configured) for consolidated summaries

🆘 Troubleshooting

❌ Cannot Access Reports

Problem: Reports tab not visible or accessible

Solutions:
